Hi All.

Winter leaving, spring here and biking weather back again, well some days. Iv'e managed too get out several times this year. Oh and on my new bike.

I had an accident Nov 2009. Taxi did a U turn into me. Wrote my Fireblad off and left me lying in the road with cracked ribs.

Long story short- Taxi driver was charged with careless driving but got away with an awareness course and a fine..

Took me a year too get money for Blade. I used Winns solicitors. Highly recommend them.

Took several months for ribs too heal enough too ride again, still hurt too this day.

So several bikes later.

1) Blue Blackbird. 2) Silver Kawasaki 1200 ZZR 3) Honda 600RR 4). Yam FJR 5) Red Blackbird

Now a 05 Hayabusa with only 4000 on clock..Fantastic

Hope everyone is fine and looking forward too 2011 season.

Joe

ZZR1200 gone..Didn't like the front end wobble when throttle released. It shook head badly and dangerously. So now have a lovely silver Blackbird..In mint condition..

Blue Blackbird had too go back too dealer. Was under dustsheet most of the time I had it because of my accident.

Found signs it had been in an accident, quite and imprint on the right side stock stop, plus realised bike had been fully resprayed and the wrong decals used. Also paint was starting too come of. Bolts had been fitted too bodywork while paint still Green and lifting around fixings.

Dealer didn't argue, just gave me a full refund..Wont name dealer but this wouldn't stop me buying there again.

Now have a Kawasaki.

ZZR1200 on a 54 plate and only done 4100 when I collected it. Now done another 200.

It's mint and rides really nice. Very underestimated bike.

I really like it. I'd class it as Kawasaki's version of Honda's Blackbird. Similar BHP and power bands..

It's 2010 and this is the first post of the year..Lets make it more.

I had an accident last November, Taxi driver did a U turn from parked and drove into my Lovely Fireblade knocking me flying. Cracked ribs etc and still not fully healed as yet.

The Blade was a right off. Shame as it was a low milage minter. I'm still waiting for money for this bike. Takes forever.

Have a 99 Blackbird at present. It also is a minter. See what comes along when I get money for the Blade.

Hope this snow soon goes and we get a fabulous biking summer.

Changes Busa for a BMW K1200 RS SE. Couldn't let this one pass by. It's on a 51 plate but only covered 12000 miles. Has Cruise control-self cancelling indicators and everything is adjustable. Bars-seat and pegs. So comfortable yet still very quick.

The Cruise control on a motorway is fantastic. set it and forget about throttle. Just hit the cruise button too go faster or slower.

All those time forgetting too cancel indicator's gone. They turn themselves off...Fantastic on a bike..all bikes should have them.

Photo's from Blanchland on my first ride out in June.

After several days torment. Busa was such a great bike, I sold it and bought a BMW K1200 RS SE. 12000 miles on a 51 plate. Just had too have it. Lovely bike and so comfortable.

It has cruise control, so handy, also has self cancelling indicators..unreal, they do cancel themselves.

Yes, those are 'spoke' like connections to the inner part of the tire from the outside tread 'wrap!' The next picture shows how odd it looks in motion....

These are actual photos of airless tyres..there great

These tires are made in South Carolina , USA .

SEE THROUGH TIRES
Radical new tire design by Michelin.
The next generation of tires.
They had a pair at the Philadelphia car show.

These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very soon.
The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on these.
Just think of the impac t on existing technology:
A. no more air valves...
B. no more air compressors at gas stations...
C. no more repair kits...
D. no more flats...

Sorry I havent been on lately, Mother been poorly and had lots of running about too do.

Can I welcome all the new members and hope you enjoy the site. Post photo's and comments oas often as you can.

I've managed a few ride outs on the Busa recently, mainly over Weardale, Blanchland etc.

Really like the Busa, awsome power and really comfortable. Just fited a hugger this week. Bought a black Pyrimid hugger from Deamon Bikes online. Sprayed it silver and it looks great.
